The message is in the title: “Beyond the Clouds, Italy is back.” With a short video posted on YouTube, strictly in English, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan announces the network that “Italy is emerging from the crisis.” A crisis “profound”, that has not prevented “the resilience of the economy.”
Italy is beyond the clouds, then, as in the film by Michelangelo Antonioni and Wim Wenders. Thanks, claims Padoan, to “a thorough growth strategy”: “Structural reforms and tax cuts are starting to bear fruit.” From “a more consistent creation of jobs.” That the clouds are behind, to the minister, is confirmed by the return of “confidence among households and businesses,” which in turn pushes jobs and growth.
Padoan not waiver remember that “Italy has the second largest manufacturing sector in Europe and fifth globally.” He cites “the ambitious reform agenda” of government: from work, justice, reform of the tax, the government, in addition to the commitment in terms of accounts and what to support businesses and spark innovation. The results are visible, assures the holder of Via XX Settembre: “Public finances are under control, the debt will begin to decline in 2016 due to higher growth and a primary surplus that continued to be positive for 23 years, except 2009 ». “Italy is back,” concludes Padoan. Unleashing a smile.
