(AGI) – Back to increase employment in Italy, after the setback fall, while unemployment applies to a minimum of 3 years now.
This is revealed by the latest statistics Istat. According to the report on the labor market, the unemployment rate fell again in November to 11.3%, showing a decrease of 0.2 percentage points, confirming the bearish trend started in July. Falls proportionally the youth unemployment rate, which remains very high at 38.1% (1.2 percentage points), while the inactivity rate, 36.3%, remains unchanged. The unemployed decreased by 1.6% (-48 thousand): the decline affects both men and women and people with less than 50 years. As for employment, recorded in November, an increase of 36,000 employees (+ 0.2%), after the growth recorded between June and August (+ 0.5%) and the decline in September (-0.2%) and October (-0.2%). This growth is determined by the female component and the increase of permanent employees and independent, while the fall term employees. The employment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points, reaching 56.4%. Compared to the previous quarter, in the period from September to November, the unemployed decreased (-4.4% or -134 thousand), are slightly down even employed people (-0.1% to -12 thousand) while growing the inactive (+ 0.6% to + 88 thousand). On an annual basis the unemployment registered a sharp decline (-14.3% to € -479 thousand people looking for work), employment increased (+ 0.9%, or +206 thousand persons employed) also grows inactivity (+ 1.0%, or +138 thousand inactive persons).
