No agreement on bargaining in the public sector
The work began with an introduction of the secretary of the CISL Gigi Petteni and have been closed by the general secretary of the CGIL Susanna Camusso. In the middle of the work it intervened leader UIL, Carmelo Barbagallo. Anna Maria Furlan, at the head of the CISL, which also supported the deal from the outset, was not present for health reasons. The agreement would have to be accompanied by a text on bargaining in the public sector. On this subject, the meeting between the leaders of the three unions went on until the late evening of Wednesday, but without a shared result. The definition of the text on the public sector is therefore postponed.
The view (from the pack) metalworkers of FIM
In favor of the agreement has publicly sided Maurizio Landini, secretary general of the FIOM. Yesterday the stage was attended by both the general secretary of Uilm Rocco Palombella that the secretary of Fim-Cisl, Marco Bentivoglio. The latter with a favorable position in the cartel as a whole, but nuanced at all discounted. Bentivogli recalled that the Agreement is the result of “a difficult synthesis between the different positions” and that therefore “reflects some scope for interpretation to be better defined and clarified.” Also it points out that “it is an oxymoron to load additional role of national wage agreement and focus on enterprise bargaining and territorial. You can not do centralization and decentralization at the same time. ” The general secretary of Fim do self-criticism: “These contradictions that we carry with us for 20 years if we groped to make a deal, at least among us, sooner or later we will have to face them.” And again: “If in the future the legal minimum will be those identified by law contracts, the minimum wage will be Italian metalworkers, higher than the German firm to 8.50 euro, it seems likely?”.
The controversy with Confindustria
From the text will be presented tomorrow the representatives of employers, Confindustria head. Given the first reactions, a comparison will be uphill. Duro said the president of Confindustria, Giorgio Squinzi: “From what you read appears that unions are moving at the pace of shrimp. Their proposal is already outdated by category contracts which are closed at this time and our proposals for contracts being renewed, light years more innovative than the platform of the CGIL, CISL and UIL. They were thrown six months since I had invited them to the table and the results show that today, if confirmed, appear more a faded photo that is not a choice to innovate the country. ” The general secretary of Uil, Carmelo Barbagallo replied by return: “Squinzi defined already exceeded our proposal? Perhaps Squinzi looked in the mirror. ” Gigi Petteni Cisl puts on mediation (and irony): “A Confindustria and all counterparties entrepreneurial say: dialogue s compare, do not start from closures because the labor market will give a decisive boost to the economy.” “The controversies do not help – continues Petteni – we avoid all of ending capons Renzo (or Renzi).” Susanna Camusso “The oldest thing possible is to support the supremacy and domination of the enterprise.”
