BEIJING (Reuters) – It is contracted in August, the Chinese manufacturing sector, a fact that reinforces the fears of a sharp slowdown in the economy of the country.
These are the findings from the surveys for the last month, published this morning.
The official manufacturing PMI index in August has resulted in the expansion threshold, to 49.7 points from 50.0 the previous month, reaching the lowest level in three years. However, this is a survey in line with expectations.

As for the services sector, the official PMI has receded but remained in the area of expansion, to 53.4 points from 53.9 in July. Same for the PMI services developed by Caixin that is in turn slipped to 51.5 points, the detection weaker from July of last year, from 53.8 points the previous month.
