MILAN , Sept. 15 (Reuters) – Mediaset, which recentemete R101 detected by Mondadori, has signed an agreement with the founders of the group Finelco, which controls Radio 105, Radio Monte Carlo and Virgin Radio for the creation of a pole radio.
The group of Cologno Monzese, said in a statement, has acquired shares with voting rights equivalent to 19% of the share capital of Rb1 Spa that holds together the founders of 92.8% Finelco.
The Hazan family holds the majority of shares with voting rights.
Mediaset has also acquired the shares of Rb1 Spa without voting rights, equal to 50% of the share capital.
The agreement also provides that Mediaset could further increase its stake.
