MILAN, August 6 (Reuters) – The joint venture Italy 3-Wind that should be born within 12 months will probably be traded through an IPO, said a source close to each other.
The parent Vimpelcom and CK Hutchison “will consider very carefully the possibility of an IPO, I do not know in which bag,” the source said. “It ‘s also a way to recover liquidity.”
Today, the two groups have announced an agreement for a joint venture that includes the two mobile operators Italian, Wind and 3 Italy.
The IPO may be achieved through the sale of shares by the parent companies, which in this case hold 100% of the company, or with new securities issued following a capital increase of 3 Italian jv-Wind.
Vimpelcom would not comment. CK Hutchison was not immediately available for comment.
