09:28 May 5, 2015 (AGI) – Rome, May 5th – Telecom and Fastweb have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch a joint experimentation intended to demonstrate that, even in the presence of more than ‘operators and contiguous with cabinet saturated lines, you can’ reach stably with FTTC (fiber to the cabinet ) the threshold of 100 Mega around which you are developing arguments on the roll-out of optical fiber in Italy. To participate in this trial are also the “vendor” Alcatel Lucent and Huawei. According to Fastweb and Telecom, in sistesi, the FTTC can ‘help to achieve – and bypassing many problems, primarily economic and investment, as well as time – the objectives of the Digital Agenda. All this thanks to a technology known as Enhanced VDSL (or E-VDSL).
