Fincantieri: half revenues rising to over 2.2 billion euro – ANSA.it

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, July 21 – The Board of Directors of Fincantieri today approved the half-year where revenues reached 2.2 billion euro, a significant increase compared with 1.9 as at 30 June 2014. At time high order backlog, with nearly 16 billion Euros and the workload, to 12 billion. Significant ‘soft backlog’ of 7.2 billion euro, which will allow the company to achieve an expected workload of over 19 billion euro and 23 billion to the backlog, once contractual options and letters of intent will be finalized in contracts. Of note is the results attributable to the group, positive for 12 million euro. As a specific note of Fincantieri, the first half of 2015 recorded a level of new orders of 4.2 billion euro, compared to the 3.4 billion euro in the same period of 2014, with a ratio between new orders and revenues 1.9 (1.7 as at 30 June 2014). In total orders, the segment ‘shipbuilding’ accounts for 90% (69% at June 30, 2014), the segment ‘offshore’ to 3% (29% at June 30, 2014), the Systems segment, Components and Services for the ’8% (3% at 30 June 2014). Orders acquired by the parent company Fincantieri SpA were 88% of the total (59% at June 30, 2014). EBITDA is reported at 128 million euro, EBIT at 74 million, investment of 68 million euro. Among the ‘highlights’ of the group in the period, even strategic agreements in the ‘shipbuilding’ with Carnival Corporation & amp; plc and Virgin Cruises, respectively, by five ships and options for three other ships. In the business of military vessels to report the acquisition of the fleet renewal program of the Italian Navy and the continuation of programs already underway Fremm (two units) and LCS (two units). In the segment ‘offshore’, was, however, a slowdown in orders, with one unit acquired.
