Greece, Tsipras: creditors have rejected some proposed reform – Reuters Italy

ATHENS (Reuters) – Prime Minister greek Alexis Tsipras told his allies that the creditors did not accept some of the reform proposals presented by the government to unblock the aid needed to avoid the default in Athens later this month.

This was reported by a government official, adding that Tsipras would bind the attitude of creditors to the lack of will to reach an agreement or subservience to special interests in Greece.

Tsipras’s comments come a few hours after his meeting in Brussels with the highest representatives of the three international creditors in Athens – European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund, the official said in a statement.

It is not clear which proposals were rejected Tsipras, nor which of the three institutions is guilty of a stall.

“The non-approval of the compensatory measures has never happened before. Neither Ireland nor Portugal, nowhere,” he said Tsipras, as reported by the official. “This strange attitude can only mean two things: either they do not want an agreement, or are at the service of specific interests in Greece”.
