The Italian industry in gear. Production at the highest … 11 – The Messenger


 (AGI) – good, indeed excellent news, industrial production. In March 2015, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production increased by 0.4% compared to February compared to + 0.2% indicated by analysts. To communicate Istat, adding that on average in January-March quarter 2015, the production increased by 0.3% over the previous quarter. Adjusted for calendar effects, in March 2015 the index rose in trend terms by 1.5% (working days were 22 against 21 March 2014), reaching the highest of the last 11 months, from April 2014 . On average in the first three months of the year, production decreased by 0.1% compared to the same period last year. The seasonally adjusted index has positive short-term changes in the groupings of consumer goods (+ 1.4%) and intermediate goods (+ 0.3%); instead decrease capital goods (-0.2%) and Energy (-0.1%). In terms of trend indices corrected for calendar effects recorded in March 2015, increases in the sectors of energy (+ 4.8%), consumer goods (+ 3.5%) and, to a lesser extent mild, the capital goods (+ 1.4%); are down the decrease in intermediate goods (-2.0%). As for the economic sector, in March 2015 the sectors that registered the greatest growth trend are the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+ 22.2%), manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+ 15.9%) and manufacture of transport equipment (+ 13.2%). The largest decreases are recorded in the sectors of mining (-9.4%), wood industry, paper and printing (-5.9%) and the manufacture of electrical and non-electrical equipment for domestic use ( -5.1%).
