MILAN – Farewell to sector studies, grids processed with economic analysis and statistics from the Treasury to estimate profits or payments that can be attributed to a business or self-employed. The Treasury is preparing, gradually, to replace them with an expansion of the testing of new “compliance indicators” that will provide “the degree of reliability of the taxpayer.” Who will reach a “high level”, says MEF in a statement after a meeting at the ministry with trade associations and professional bodies, “will have access to rewarding” system that provides, among other things, an accelerated path for tax refunds, reducing the time and the exclusion of certain investigations. at the meeting of the Committee of experts for the sector studies, were presented to the trade associations and professional bodies proposed methodological innovation after the experimentation of the past months. The compliance is a synthetic indicator since it is on a scale from one to ten. This new parameter will be divided according to the economic activity in a main business activity, with specific provision for each activity or group of assets. “It will be built on the basis of a statistical-economic innovative methodology that takes into account several factors: the economic normalcy indicators (so far used for the revenue estimate) become indicators for the calculation of the level of reliability; instead of only the revenues will be estimated the added value and business income. ” Also refined the methodology which provides more information and a model able to anticipate the influence of the economic cyclical in the operating results, without the need to apply corrective ex post. “At the individual taxpayer will be announced, through the Inland revenue, the synthetic indicator result and its various components, including those that appear inconsistent. in this way, the taxpayer will be encouraged to increase the spontaneous fulfillment and to liaise with the agency to improve its position on the reliability level. “
