Agreement did, but without the CGIL, of Telecom Italy. The redundancies rise to 3 thousand, but none will be fired because it will point to solidarity, voluntary redundancy and using early retirement mode statutory Fornero.
It is true that the original 1,700 redundancies increased to 3 thousand, but the unions have received the complete cancellation of the corporate reorganization of the call centers. In this way the group is preserved in its entirety and management of redundancies will take place within the whole of the enterprise perimeter. The agreement will allow to manage the 3,000 redundancies in the Group identified through solidarity contracts. In particular, the 1700 surplus identified by the company mainly in the areas of management, in activities Cross Activities of Open Access and in some areas of the Telecom Italian Information Technology, plus additional 1,300 redundancies on the Division Caring Services.
Within one month from today will be reached specific agreements at the enterprise level that will also cover the use of Article 4 of the Law Fornero, retraining and interventions on productivity. In particular, it provides for the application for a period of three years of the contract of solidarity to 2,800 surplus as part of Telecom Italy spa and 200 excess units in Telecom Italian Information Technology. The agreement also plans to apply for a voluntary early exit and 330 employees of Telecom Italy spa. Within the next few days, in short, the agreement will be materialized in the business tables to define all the details. The agreement, in fact, explained the ministry, “defines the path by which the parties intend to pursue the aim of better protection of workers in the framework of reorganization and efficiency of the Telecom Group.”
From this location it is instead pulled out of the CGIL, whose trade union, the SLC, by the end of July had left the table, “Only in Italy – says in fact the secretary Michele Azzola – a company can fill the newspapers stating the need to take 4000 young people first, and then sign an agreement of 3330 redundancies. And only in our country we can achieve an agreement at ministerial certifying redundancies that in reality does not exist and nobody knows the location and scope of business. ” Azzola, among other things, claims that in the decrees of the Jobs Act would have the opportunity to appeal to the solidarity expansive, that here is instead “set aside” and provides a “tightening in the confrontation in the company.”
sign anything, of course, the comments of the Minister of Development, Federica Guidi, that “this is a significant milestone that does not sacrifice jobs.” The Minister also hoped that “every effort be made to retrieve the general framework of trade union representation in the meeting today that it was not possible to obtain. This action will be enhanced with the utmost determination. “
