STEP 1-Telecom signs deal with CISL, UIL and UGL to avoid layoffs-Mise – Reuters Italy

ROME, September 7 (Reuters) – The Ministry of Development, Telecom Italy has reached an agreement with the unions CISL, UIL and UGL (exclude the CGIL) to avoid layoffs and manage redundancies with solidarity contracts.

“No worker Telecom Italy will be fired. The redundancies will be managed with solidarity. The objective has been achieved with the framework agreement signed today at the Ministry of Development, “the statement said.

According to Stefano Conti, general secretary UGL Telephone, redundancies will be around 3,000 and for 300 you will comparison with voluntary redundancy, the others will be dealt with solidarity contracts.

“The agreement reflects significantly the demands made in previous meetings by the unions and by the same ministry. The comparison continues now in the company headquarters to give practical implementation to the instructions contained in the cartel “, adds the ministry statement.
